Sinach Wins Dove Award in Song of the Year category for “Waymaker”

Iconic Gospel music minister Sinach has won the song of the year award at the just concluded Dove Awards 2020.

Due to the precautionary measures of Covid 19, the Dove Awards have been extended to two nights this year: a pre-television award aired Thursday on Facebook page, and a Friday night main broadcast program featuring marquee honors and performances

This year’s television event aired on the faith-based network TBN. Artists have pre-performed and pre-taped at TBN Studios in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Giving her gratitude on her Instagram page, the award winning Gospel music minister Sinach thanked Jesus reiterating the word of wisdom she had earlier received.

As Sinach wins Dove Award, high honors also went to went music duo For King & Country, who scored Artist of the Year and Short Form Video of the Year for Dolly Parton collaboration “God Only Knows.” 

Kanye West, the global cultural figure, best-selling rapper and US presidential candidate who released his Christian album “Jesus Is King” last year, won three nominations and one Dove award for Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song of the Year for the track, “Follow God.”
