No brother wants to marry a devoted sister. They believe they aren’t fashionable and are not romantic. No or not enough make-up, long and wide skirts, little or no attachments etc
The average believer doesn’t want to be an S.U! Ask the average sister in church and she’d tell you she doesn’t want to marry a pastor. A sister actually told me that pastor’s aren’t romantic, and are boring
I have often ask myself, “is heaven boring?” and my affirmative answer is No! Heaven isn’t boring neither can being a carrier of heaven on earth be boring. Heaven isn’t noisy but it’s fun; hell is noisy but it’s full of pain and agony
What exactly is so exciting in the world more than the joy unspeakable we find in Christ? I have tasted both and I can say affirmatively that being in Christ is more enjoyable. Some say Christianity is difficult but to me, it’s fun
One way to know if you’re qualified for heaven is that you would love God and anything relating to Him more than you love the world. The Bible settles this in 1 John 2:15: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
As long as the things and the way of God is boring to you, it means heaven is boring to you and no one who sees being devoted as boring can make heaven. Lot’s wife looked back (to the pleasures of the world) and became a pillar of salt. You can’t love God and the world at the same time. They don’t go together
When you believe, the first thing that happens to you is that the things of the world no longer excite you; the boy/girlfriend sin; the worldly music and dances; the worldly dressings, haircut; the cheating, malice; pornography, masturbation; the backbiting and stealing…everything becomes irritating to you.
If you’re still struggling with the love of the world, it’s an indication that the love of Christ is yet to be shed all over your heart. Christianity could be boring only if you’re yet to hate the world and carry the mind of Christ. Jesus said anyone who would follow him must forsake all, including his loved ones and carry his cross
Since I rededicated my life to Christ, I can’t see any fun in fornication or drinking or dancing to satan-inspired songs. It gets me really angry. It’s not because of religion, it’s how I truly feel. Honestly, I don’t think I can find the fun I have in Christ anywhere else in this world
Although our churches and especially youth departments need to do more soul lifting programmes and some brothers and sisters in church need to do more in terms of dressing and comportment, being a devoted believer is the most enjoyable phenomenon on earth.
As long as heaven isn’t boring, being devoted a hundred percent to God, the King of heaven can’t be boring. However, if you admire the world more than being with God, the love of God isn’t in you. God bless you!
